COVID-19 Information

Local support in Y Felinheli

On this page, we have collected together some information and links that we hope will provide some help to you through the COVID-19 emergency. We will be updating this page as and when new information becomes available.

We have set up a ‘Buddy Scheme’ in the village to support local residents who are self-isolating and need help through the Coronavirus outbreak.

NEED HELP

If you are self Isolating and NEED HELP with:

Shopping for Food/essential goods

Collection of new prescriptions

VOLUNTEER

If you are able to HELP OTHERS with these tasks and wish to VOLUNTEER

Local Businesses

Businesses Ready to Help

Whats our aim? To pool volunteers & resources from within our community.

Buddy's role? A Buddy can help with the collection and delivery of prescriptions, food and essential shopping.

We kindly ask for shopping to be pre-paid - so no money is passed from one to another (for an example in Londis, food can be bought, ordered and paid over the phone or Click and Collect service's in various super markets).

Vulnerable people
If a volunteer has concerns about a child or a vulnerable adult then they should contact Councillor Gareth Griffith. He should be able to direct them to a suitable agency and this could lead to assessing the individual for additional services.
