Local Membership is probably the highest in Wales, with 24% of members living in the village and 66% of members living within 10 miles of the club and over 90% with a LL postcode.
The club has developed since it was formed in 1947 and through training courses (for all ages) run throughout the years has earned an enviable record throughout Wales including several National and European Champions in their respective classes. Also we can boast 3 World Champions including the current Tera Sport Class World Champion - Jac Bailey who learnt to sail at the club and lives in the village. Other members include the current Welsh High Performance Manager, and two coaches who work with the British Olympic Team. All regularly sail at the club and are village residents. The club also has one of the highest turnout of sailors in Wales whether racing or just sailing for the fun of it.
